Team Liquid wins The International 7

What a clincher! It was an uphill battle all the way for Team Liquid, faced with the challenge of beating those odds stacked against them, first starting out in the loser bracket of the International. First, they had to fight their way out, facing the formidable Team LFY. Team Liquid came out behind in that first game to Team LFY, however what a comeback! Though Team LFY put up quite a fight it was not enough to hold off the onslaught of Team Liquid. Closing off the semi-final bracket, Team Liquid emerged on top, winning the next two games to take the best of three, and earning them a spot in the Grand Finals.

Riding high on that sweet victory in the semis, Team Liquid next faced Team Newbee in their Grand Finals match-up for a shot at taking home the grand prize of USD10 million. What a nerve wracking set that was! Team Newbee was decimated by Team Liquid, with the latter having a clean sweep in the best of 5 series. Such a great show case of talent, strategy and pure skill!
